You can dodge caveins by simply walking out of them sometimes, but often the first rock lands on you, not to mention most mining occurs afk

I just want a tunnel support that lets you mine in a straight line. 3 blocks and lets you mine 10 tiles foward or back of the direction it faces. Maybe you place it onto a cave tile and the construction process actually involves mining out the tile?
