More info for credo quests

Postby Mr_Bober » Mon Sep 05, 2022 2:58 am

Adding more informations to credo quests would help player decide if they should skip a quest or not.
For example, a forager quest asking for morels should include the information that morels are a fall-only mushroom. A miner quest asking for iron ochre should include the information that you can only find it on 4th level or lower.

Since it's clear that devs don't intend fixing the seasonal credo issue, I think at least informing players if something is accessible to them or not would go a long way. Also very easy to do, considering it's literally just adding text to the credo quest.

information on this game is as always only given out through word of mouth tribal knowledge, and foggy memorys of 2 worlds past, before an mechanic changed,

i belive, adding disclaimer text to autoreroll quests, would be more work at this point as just getting rid of sesonal quests, and miner itself should get an hint at the fact that you shouldnt bother with the credo unless you have decended ontoo level4 or 5 at least,

such things could also vastly differ from where people currently are on the tectree,
queryman asking for black coal, or calco, is an huge bumfuck for any newb, that in fact belived queryman had anything to do with querys, or chipping stones,
and not knowing it to be essential "miner light", having most of the recources for quests hidden on lvl1-3

should mystic just tell you, that the best way too do it, is to log off for an month or two? , or should it just countdown your lore cooldowns?

It's clear they will never remove seasonal quests. They even said once that it's your choice to wait for the season or abandon the quest.

I really don't see how difficult it is to add "autumn" or "4th level and below" next to certain items.

Not sure what Mystic has to do with this. I've done it multiple times, there's nothing blocking you from doing it from day 1 or during any season. (maybe winter is not ideal, but u can still do it)

because most if not all items require some prework, potter asks for stained glass hearth, only way people discover that recipy is by accident or after they got the quest and looked it up on the wiki, farmer would need to tell you, seeds are regional, that trellis crops arent doable week 1, etc, if you are gonna start explaining haven too the uninitiate, you have too explain every fucking thing, because haven is at its core an obscure game, that only realy can be found intoo by using custom clients, the wiki , and being in an discord of 2-5 people that play this game for years.

i do mystic also every world, and somebody not knowing how the lore system works is cursed by it with the fate of , each day, maybe multiple times, to check the windthrow outside, for 2 weeks, not knowing why they wont trigger the event, only to get the same quest again, and having to wait an total of 4 weeks, even thoguh they have the recource for the event too trigger around there doorstepp,

si ut would either need to tell you on lorequests: your cooldown for said event, so you can decide for yourself, or something akin of ( check the geysir, and if nothing happens reroll) , or just add an disclaimer before the creedo that you have to not leave your house for 2 weeks before starting it,

2 weeks, thatsalmost 3 entire winters,
