Glowing embers

After putting a fire out and it's still hot, change the graphic to make it obvious that the embers are still glowing. It would be a good indicator that the fire could still be relit without expending resources. It would also just make my spit array look cooler. Could also use it to tell if the fire's been used recently when staking out another player's claim

I dunno what you're asking cuz it does show if there's any red bar left. If there's no red bar it's empty, if there's any red bar it'll show a pile of ashes and you can Light My Fire, unless im misunderstanding you.
Total misplay.

It's not visually apparent from the campfire model, tho. You have to walk up and check the heat bar to see if the fire is still hot, which doesn't make too much sense. If the fire is still hot then where are the embers? I just think it would be pretty cool, and instead of suggesting a whole new complex system I think suggestions for small stuff like this have a higher chance of making the cut for patches lol

Yes, it is.
I don't know if you're joking or your client is bugged...

Something must be up with your client. When a campfire is out of fuel but still has a red bar on inspection, there will be a pile of ashes within the circle. Placing fuel will not remove the pile of ashes either. Those ashes are your visual indicator that there is still a red bar for said campfire.
