Plowing Pavement

Postby sMartins » Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:34 pm

Would be nice to address some of the old mechanics such this one.

Every time we need to pave/build on forest terrain without changing elevation we need to plow the land first.

I know, not a big deal but sounds stupid and out of place.

Can we just stomp to dirt? Maybe requiring more time .... or idk, we can add a "clear the land", "prepare for building" .... whatever.

And maybe we can use that also for vines, reeds ... we could even have some inaccesible areas on the land (such as reeds on the water) were you have to "clear" the dense forest to walk through.

Yes a "clear land" function that automatically takes out the stamina for the amount of squares cleared would be nice.

I found a decent way to prepare a place for paving easily.

1. lay down a survey
2. Dig a single time in one spot to clear 4 tiles into dirt
3. Move over 2 spaces and repeat step 2
4. Once the area is cleared, 'Make Level' to put the dirt you just dug back.

This uses a lot less time and stamina compared to plowing.

This could have you equip a shovel (wood, tinker, metal) and flatten the terrain and perhaps even lay stone.
