Dust bag for Mining

A cape-slot (or backpack slot!) item to hold cave dust from mining, so I don't have to pick up my minesweeper tiles when I wanna collect dust for my petraglyphs or gilded nautilus.

Would be useful as hell.

-1, miner cucks need to suffer so they don't get too comfortable.

I agree, it's a pretty decent curio that is almost never used due to the number of clicks needed to collect cave dust. Would be amazing to have an addition like this.

Shift-right-click dust on the ground, then click the last one in your inventory and shift-right-click the first dust in your inventory a couple times. You're welcome.

Sure, still needs 2kg of cave dust to make one. A stack of cave dust is 0.5 kg.
Lets say on average cave dust spawns in 0.03 on floor, it still means you need to shift click it almost 70 times for one gilded nautilus (just to stack up cave dust).
Your advice is a cope and not a solution.

agreed, vdz speaks like someone who has never collected cave dust after excavating 300~ tiles. even merging them together makes me want to straight up die

I collect nearly all the cave dust from tiles I mine out. I do it during the mining process though (whenever mining is interrupted for whatever reason) rather than all at once at the end though. For me the inventory space usage is a bigger problem, I end up just ditching the dust in some container to not have it clog up my inventory and then forgetting about it.

Man, VDZ.
It doesn't matter what you do ,how you do it, and whether you enjoy a particular task due to your masochistic nature.
All that matters is effort vs reward.
Even though gilded nautilus are pretty decent, number of clicks +inventory requrement makes them unworthy of being made.
We had a proper suggestion to improve the miner experience that you just straight up refused due to your cope.
Personally, I welcome the idea as it's an improvementof an existingmechanic.
Krill helps fishers, this idea would do the same.
Give the miners help!

Just let us dump a barrel and any dust that falls within 5-8-10-whatever tiles is automatically collected into it
Make it a credo perk instead of "localized cave-ins" (which is pointless for such a high level credo perk) if you want.
