Fix the swimming issue by adding swimming gildings

every single sprucecap always complains about touching water being instakill so add more stuff that gives +swimming to act as arm floaties for noobs
also i might actually use a divers weight if i can start swim maxing

Dangers of swimming was severely tuned down already from being instakill to fresh from the fire sprucecaps being able to swim ~12 tiles. But i wouldn't mind swimming guilding as well as learning ability guilding altrough i think it would affect big PVP meta.

If sprucecaps drown because they don't know how dangerous the water is then they won't know about those gildings.
If they know how dangerous the water is - would they still be wasting gilding slots on those, rather than some survival / exploration ones?

imo drowning should work like other non-dungeon ko mechanics: sent to hearth fire with a fresh % based wound. Make it worse in oceans?

It's just a super weird outlier since all the other mechanics have been patched towards permadeath only if you're already wounded.

At very least is should be impossible to destroy a boat and kill already KO'd dude. It just wrong.

people are just scared of water, as they should, but an freshspawn naked alt can reliably swim across an regualr or thin river no problem, and will just take an bit of damage on bigger ones, you really need an fat river to die, instantly with full stamina.

with around 100 con you should be able too cros most if not all rivers without taking suffocation, caveangelrs cape is easy to get your hands on, so much so that noobs that cant get there hands on bearcapes wearing it isnt uncommon, and it is the best swimming gear in game, making walrus capes completetly useless.

look at some pvp videos where an developed player is actually drowned, it takes an long time, and is usually only possible by sauling them in the middle of an lake, and somehow baiting or blocking them constantly,

but on the other hand although i dont find it neccesarry for swimming, i would like swimming to be an guildable stat(you could just guild con tho) and more equippment that just happens to give swimming isnt something i despise either
if you really wanna risk nothing using your diversweight, just get yourself such an cape, thats easaly 100 swimming, and you shouldnt leave your boat for more than 2 tiles while diving for sponges anyway, if you loose more than 20% of your stamina per sponge i would say you got about 30 con, and probbably couldnt studdy sponges anyway.

the worst part about swimming is the asphyxiation wound. the intelligence debuff is way too big and it's all around cringey that swimming is such a hazard

ye, int malus is bad especially in the earlygame, but it isnt procentual, so later on the int debuff really dosnt matter at all, most people with 150 to 200+ int wont even find use for all there mental capacity, and run around with atleast 10 int unused at all times,

but on the other hand, asphixiation is together with leechburns and starvation . one of if not the quickest to heal wound.

i swam over an big river day 2 to build an road, took 20 asphyxiation. and basically couldnt study anything but dandelions OR conecows for hald an day, but its gone in an few houres, if i would have filled up all that int by dragonflyes and ladybugs and whatnot, i maybe have lost around 1400 lp through that? 1400 lp is nothing,

on the other side, drowning kills people, shocking i know, but from your first stamina tick going down, you can see if you are capable too cross an river, if you have less than half your stamina over and you havent reached the middle , you probbably didnt have full stamina before, or you cross the biuggest river in the continent. either way, you had at least 10 seconds time too reconsider where you have been shown that you wont make it, before you get one tick of damage, if your only then realising you cant swimm , you just deserve the hungerresett,
