Credo Bonus

Postby kirbmanboggle » Fri Sep 16, 2022 9:22 am

I feel as though to not halt progression as much maybe stats you get from any credo should not actually count toward the amount needed in lp to increase the stat,how I see it working right now is that if for instance you have 40 exploration and you get 10 from a credo your lp needed for level up goes from 4100LP to 5100LP, which may not seem like a lot but with all the different bonuses you can get I always feel like I need to wait days to progress credos just to get to an appropriate amount of ability or I'm missing out on even more time,I know it would likely be hard to change since that dabbling with the abilities,but it was something running through my mind to express before I bite the bullet on the quarryman masonry bonus.

Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

I thought a couple times that I'd prefer credo stats to be bonus instead of base.

It does have drawbacks, it means you can't double it with guildings (which is pretty common at this stage of the world). So you'd be losing out on the bonus a second time by having equipment that overcaps you.

This is true I didn't think of that,despite this I would rather it be a flat bonus or its own buff separate from gildings rather than a permanent stat,feels a little too rigid to me personally but this game has a high skill ceiling as far as how op you can get in a short amount of time(ez if you have alts and friends),perhaps it would disturb the flow of how the game is played.

i really do hate the entire "it's better to get the flat bonus of the credo later than earlier" aspect of credos sometimes, particularly with huge numbers like farmer

pick that up with 50 farming -> 100? you save around 370k lp or so

150->200? 870k lp or so

that said, doubling it w/ gildings is half the reason the credo bonus is so good early on. surely some sort of exception could be added where credos increase the baseline score but don't add to the cost of increments or smth

it would be nice to have it in its own bonus category yeah,because it genuinely feels like you should wait until nearly world end to do your credos to save the most benefit,that and feps getting boosted way above your others via credo as well,it can negatively halt your character as well.

I think this kind of bonuses should be removed altogether. Just giving you basically chunk of LP as a "credo reward" just feels... lame. Any dumb tree can give me same reward for their quests.

Wrong. VDZ already told us the lp and fep requirements are linear stop spreading false information.

I just think most of the flat stat bonuses are boring past the T2 credos, farmer having a large plus to farming and quarryman having a boost to strength/masonry is fine when early on you need that boost as LP becomes much easier later on
