Farmers blight

The thing about farming... it eats a ton of stamina. if you dont believe me, try harvesting a 3 wide row fo anything. and see how far you can do using area harvest. im about 20 tiles atm. this is insane. true, farmers dont get too much action, need to drain them every chance you get. useless freeloaders they are...
now imagine a field of 99x99. its buckets worth of water drunk (insane!) and while bots included in custom clients do take care of water needs, try going manual, like most common folk would do.
atm im planting 3 wide rows of everything, to maximize entirely broken system of 2x3 in-front-of-me harvesting, otherwise efficnency drops like kidney stones.
im not saying you gotta go 300% brainiac power to invent or improve current area farming, relax and forget about it, broken as it is now i dont see that you can actuallly boost this to be actually 6x better than hand harvest. good idea, massively shit implementation.
there are other places one could argue area item pickup logic (stones from mining for example, or harvest drops) it getting dumber every time you try it, but ill settle for having area planting and harvesting improved.
In a short sentence: you promised 2x3 (6 for math impaired) harvesting/planting capability, at best we get 3.75.

but the main thing! stamina drain is out there, large-ish fields are worth a dozen of built anvils. oh, right, we dont buld them anymore. so try hf building.

99x99 field is roughly 9800 crops, a tremendous amount of products.
I mean, it should worth something

Scythe quality significantly reduces the stamina drain. Autodrink/drink key should be a bit more robust in default client, it only works if you have water containers hotbarred pretty sure.

Overall farming feels pretty good to me. Tending 10k tiles is not something you're really supposed to do alone anyway. For an established village with 1-3 power eaters you really only need at most 500-1k of misc crops, 2k of fodder crop for animals. With current systems that's perfectly doable by humans, especially if it's your "job" in a village. A hermit shouldn't need anywhere near that much food.

I'd say my biggest complaint right now about farming is seed crop quality weirdness, and the area harvest/plant being super inefficient in terms of picking optimal tiles.
