Showing the type of wood of a log when hovering over it with

I'm relatively new and I often have trouble choosing the type of wood whether to build or use in e.g. Smoker, the option that was recently added to "Inspect" is very useful, but it would be nice if it also showed the names of trees that have already been felled

I belive most custom clients can do it.

I havent played on ender for a while but try to hover a cursor over an object with shift/ctrl pressed.

The devs added utility to the "Inspect" -action, when you have the "magnifying glass" -cursor active you can hover over cave walls and animal corpses, should be extended to logs as well.

This was overlooked part of this patch.

"Inspect" pointer now provides name tooltips for most anything that has them, including various map terrains. Particularly added for mined out tiles in caves, but will expand.

Do you use default client?
it's not possible on default but it exists on the client Ender.
