BUSHCRAFT BUTERFLY NET

  • made from a bunch of string and boughs? Maybe requires loom or something?
  • 1 tile additional reach when grabbing insects
  • fun net-swinging animation
  • the net has a creel-like inventory space

ANGLERS NET

  • made from a couple bars of metal, a leather and a bunch of fine string
  • can do all the stuff a bushcraft net can do, but it's faster and has bigger inventory
  • 1 tile additional reach when grabbing small game and birds (because funny)
  • you can swoop it in to the water at jumping fish locations for a chance to net a fish (high stamina drain?)
  • swooping in to shallow water can also get you minnows (new fish/bait) (very fun)

if you net something that has a much higher quality than the net, it has a chance it break maybe?
quality could also determine some degree of swinging speed and stamina drain

+1 to net, - 1 to angler net. I mean net is a net. If its for bugs, fine, but it wouldnt ever hold a fish, it would tear.
Fishing net otoh is a standard practice (not sure how its called, its "podrywka" in polish) when fishing larger and more agressive fish. Having something like it in off hand when fishing should greatly improve catching chance and reduce risks of line/hook breaking. Shovelling away with it through reeds and mud, good way to loose it

edit:
Also, nets having inventory... so imagine your lightweight bugnet that has 3 lizards, 12 dragonflies and a bogturlte inside. how do you expect to catch anything with that?

I duno man, I had some pretty slinky ass aluminum walmart nets all through my irl childhood, smacking them in to swamps and reeds to catch frogs and minnows and fishing bait. Definitely got some tangles and dents, but it did the job.

I guess this borders on unrealistic. Maybe animals that have a death state, like a bogturtle for example, should take up the net as a whole, but smaller 1 tile bugs and creatures can be mass-netted? I think it's realistic to continually net a buttload of dragonflies tho.
