Honestly I love it and hate it. I hate it because the only play for staying competitive will be going directly for as much speed as possible.
While I love it because I like having more things like this in the game.

I like the idea, but I wouldn't go with multiple choices like those, because soon enough the best meta would become the only thing used.

I would use a single item, maybe one of those curios nobody ever uses anyway, which only gives the lower XP benefit. The higher the item quality, the bigger the bonus.
