We need a wheeled carrying device that serves as the step between wheel barrow and cart.

A Boat Dolly is a small, wooden cart meant to hold a single rowboat. The catch would be that the rowboat can actually have its inventory full.

Why?

Carts are large and sluggish. The Boat Dolly could be smaller and faster. (less annoying to get through 1 tile wide mines and between trees in the forest)

A full rowboat can go on a Boat Dolly and an empty Boat Dolly can be picked up and put in a rowboat. Make traversing across land between waterways and distributing boats in to underground waterways easier.

Carry less than with a cart, but more versatile and faster. That's it. Super fun!

Kind of agree if it's only used to move rowboat/dugout, cart can carry 2 chests and a rowboat no problem. I would still like some way to move large ships onto land though

the difference is that cart cannot be carried across water whereas this would be able to since it can be lifted

mainly I was thinking it would be useful in caves for bringing a boat to an underground water area, would be smaller, able to carry some shit with you, and you have the ability to rearrange the whole situation and toss the dolly in your boat to get across water too, that is the key difference.

It's exactly the same as putting a rowboat into a kicksled, but is actually useful for more than five minutes of the year.

(OK I tell a lie, for the rest of the year the kicksled provides rowboat storage with a smaller footprint than the boat itself. And if your friend never notices that's where the boat is, it *stays there*).

+1 but id modify it slightly. Dont lift it, but be able to push it as well as pull. Pushing would allow to auto mount boat/barrel/log onto it. Or any heavy to carry around object. Including full chests/cupboards/cabinets. Single carry slot and no speed penalty while on suit able surface (ok for slow down on farmland/forest)
