Meteor time & tracking

Postby DonVelD » Tue Oct 04, 2022 1:58 pm

1) Can we have each meteor drop in time that is in a suitable time for most of the playerbase? (that is the US and Europe)
There was almost noone at the meteor this time. I've overslept myself, and for my american friends it was WAY too late in night.
I've heard there was like 4 enemies and 4 people from my group, and usually there's at least 30 people if the time is good.
Also the cooling timer being random sucks a LOT, because you never know if you'll be able to go OR if its in the middle of the night. You just kinda have to figure it out and wait for the whole time.

2) It should be way easier to track the meteor. Why should people waste so much experience and time just to have one fight & get some ore (or none at all) that doesn't matter that much?
I've wasted like 3 hours and at least 3k experience to locate it, just to not go for the meteor at all, and the location to be off

Also: I personally feel like the meteor should never happen in winter, because the actual winter combat sucks & travelling to the meteor if its on the other continent is near impossible. Usually every group just ignores it.

A telescope could serve useful in tracking when or where the meteor would drop.

I thought someone said they wree gona show up ealry and dig up all the snow or some shit so their could be a normal fight but i guess it didnt happen? but most recent one was a bit of time but a lot of the pvpers are also quitting afaik i think their needs to be some at a time the koreans can show up too like first meteor thier were no koreans cuz of time and i dont think dantes group was thier either also if theirs some when all the big pvp groups rent thier random small villages might fight over it i know htat isnt what happend with most recent one bu ti think setting up the time group around only the Americans and Europeans isnt exactly fair to the korean group and all them

They didn't show up to the dumb o clock meteor that was literally in their timezone and no one else's. Not sure what you can say about that.

Ye as Sevenless has said, they've got a perfect meteor for them last time yet noone was there. And IMO even if it was unfair I think it'd be more unfair if only one group could show up to the meteor at a reasonable time for them. Wouldn't that be counter-intuitive? The idea of a meteor is to cause a fight between groups. As for the timing for i.e. Arcanum then yeah for Europe that first meteor kinda sucked but at least it was good for anyone playing in the US, and possible to show up if you're from Europe if you stay up late. Idk, I'd rather to sacrifice one person for everyone else y'know. I'd rather the meteor to be good for the majority and not bad for everyone. Sorry Koreans :?

Also make it not use in-game time, because it just tells you it lands anywhere between 8-16 hours, which is fucking useless info for determining time zone. Actually just get rid of in-game time in general, it's not only dumb it's still in the game, it's dumb that it was added in the first place.

Yeah that last meteor was awful timing for most people, this might be a stretch but could whatever that time was be blacklisted or something? Hell, if meteors had a more consistent timeframe and, like mentioned above, not have a random cooling time, it would make it a lot more convenient for everyone.

As far as i know yeah, but total turnout was something like a 2v3v(?)koreans, which is pretty sad. There could be other implications to the low turnout, but I'm assuming this was more so because of the really crappy timing.

This too, and not just for the meteor.
ALSO
I was totally expecting star shards to fall with the meteors, kinda sad that's not the case. Would be cool small loot to grab while running around.
