I have just 2 simple request.

Either:
Let fires burn longer (12 hours).

Or:
Make firebrands at least don't burn out while making the fire.
It's annoying to way 1 minute to get your firebrand, which takes half your stamina, just to let it burn down on 90% to repeat the process.

Nothing fun or larpy with that.

By that note, i'm pretty sure that there were a ton of request for like "light torches" Simple standing torches which are spending light and nothing more which burn for a long period before going out to kindle a holding torch.
That would also be okay.

Instead fire lasting 12 hours hot ashes could last 12 hours.

firebrands are here too stay, and if you belive there is nothing fun or larpy about that, you have never been the one watching someone trying to light an fire.

Lanterns. what you want are lanterns. they hold there flame for 3 days or something, and you can light everything with it. if you put it on an lanternstand, you can just lift the stand, and ignite stuff with it , no need to open your inventory.
