There's an audible click in the loop and it drives me fucking crazy. I can't be the only one?

I literally put my cauldron out whenever I'm not using it -- and not for any efficiency reason -- its that I can't stand the damn click sound every few seconds.

I noticed this a few days ago and it annoyed me. You shouldn't have your cauldron wasting water and fuel unless you're using it anyway.

I just lit one and listened very intently and I don't really hear it.

There's the 'clicking' sound of the burning fire underneath it? That crackling pop sound.

You can disable certain sounds in most custom clients, i'd suggest you try using one.

one workaround is having a cauldron room, so at least you only hear when you really need to

I think it's meant to be a hiss of steam or crackling wood but I know what you mean, I've just dealt with a variety of poorly cut soundloops for so long that I have some kind of mental block in place against them.

The annoying repeating sounds of the research screen, crowds, and thunderstorms in Theme Park still play in my head occasionally with startling accuracy

Ard definitely allows, some other clients probably do too.
