A Longer Lifespan for Public Bothies

I like to build hunting cabins and farm houses on unclaimed land, but these buildings decay rather quickly if they do not sit on a claim. It would be nice if this decay was reduced slightly so other players could come across sites like mine before they are swept away by time.

Make claim -> fill up the authority -> give all perms to whites

Would let your cabins exist for 2 months before they start decaying, and dropping a claim is pretty cheap all told if you only intend to fill it once then forget about it.

I've been around you degenerates long enough, you'd figure I would be wiser to this kind of stuff.

Forever an ethnic sprucecap.

Ohai Vigi, good to see you around still.

I understand what he's saying, as I too enjoy stumbling upon aesthetic little camps in the middle of nowhere. The issue is that those are few and far between. We would set up Taverns in random locations, with Wine, Beer, and Food over a few worlds but for the most part it's just decaying timber houses.

If anything a modified claim like "Innkeepers Claim" or something that allowed trespassing and theft but not vandal or something akin to that could work, but as claims now take a study space very few people would do it.

If you want to make cute little forest villages just spawn an alt and use them as the caretaker, and make it so the claim lets people trespass.

Building strategic and visually appealing roads, warehouses, gardens, fortifications etc. between villages at one's own pace is fun and provides utility for a province. Being obligated to juggle village permissions, available space, duties, conflicts, and job specializations for an entire world is not fun and provides utility for a village. Developing the land between the walled compounds I can have my cake and eat it too, building like the townspeople do, remaining happy like the hermits do, and, ideally, improving the land for everyone in the province.

As far as the Quality number goes, everyone uses cupboards and study desks, and those seem to behave the same regardless of their quality.
