Animal spawn mechanic changes

1. Remove quality nodes
2. Change spawn mechanic. Bot which log in every 15 min to check if mammoth/angler is around is cancerous and not healthy for the game.
W3 - W10 - Hermit / small plots with spruces
W11 - The Friend Zone
W12 - KoA aka Kingdom of Ashes
W13 - Monke
W14 - Alpaca Farm aka Animal Planet

As someone who doesn't do this "bot checking" strategy, what's wrong with the spawn mechanic? Do they repeatedly spawn in the same spot on a cooldown or something?

Kinda funny how over-engineered this system is considering pretty much everybody unanimously agrees the simplest possible way to implement it, a random range, would be better.

It's almost like constantly reinventing the wheel and needless complexity without thinking how people will interact with something is bad!!??

I feel like its one of the old themes in threads for a while now, hard to disagree with snail here.

Pretty sure legacy had random q on the entire map sometimes you'd kill a q60 bear sometimes q200 bear depending on how lucky you got , but it was never always 200 in the same place, at least from my memory of legacy

Log in, go to the same spot, kill same animal, get identical loot, repeat every 15 min. Boring as fk

quality nodes are actually based when the player count dies before anyone can make cheese

not one of you are farming the q500 red deer and if you are you're severely autistic and doing it for fun/the severity of your autism and not for any actual pragmatic reason that is ultimately relevant

Quality nodes are retarded.
Animals being able to have up to +500% quality depending on the node is retarded.

It's funny how every year at least 2 threads pop up discussing about this shit, but instead we get pocket gildings.

Animals spawn when tiles are unloaded and then loaded again. That's why you check them every 15 minutes.

Normal game:
  • 500 goblin spawns scattered around
  • each goblin drops 2 items from the goblin loot table

Haven:
  • 500 goblin spawns scattered around
  • 499 goblins drop dogshit and there's no point in killing them at all
  • 1 goblin that spawns in a static spot every 15 minutes drops one of the most valuable resources in the game
  • "This encourages exploration", says the developer, as the players login/out next to the node every 15 minutes and never bother with any other goblins/locations
