If we will get earlier version of barter stands it would be nice to get earlier version of coin press.

An example: wooden coin + wooden coin press.

There's no real reason to gatekeep this as long as the game does atm.

Did you forget copper is now locked to layer 2 and mine pyres take a week to burn (if nobody's been on that layer yet)? The delay is not as long as steel (that's another 7 days for iron plus 2.5 days for steel), but it would still timegate it significantly.

Day 8 coin press is fine? Some timegate isn't a problem, it makes unlocking things feel rewarding. But needing to wait 2 possibly 3 weeks (iron is pretty rare on L3) is overkill.

+1, would also allow for steel to be postponed to later levels where you don't have to fuck around with bad ore, without hurting people who want to make a market early on.
