Add rare finds from roaming the world

Something Haven greatly needs is more reasons to get people outside their villages exploring the world. One thing that is also severely lacking is PVE related projects to enjoy with friends, solo, groups, etc. We already have some things like dungeons which are cool/rare to find, conches, etc. What I'm looking to see more of are more along the lines of conches. Essentially something with an incredibly rare spawn that you can find just by roaming around the world.

Ideally it'd be something more difficult to kill, perhaps something you could even die attempting to fight. It'd be cool if there was more PVE content where you needed to actually gather a group to even attempt the fight and partake in high risk to win the fight. Obviously for this to actual be rewarding the reward would have to be nice, but not too nice that it's a mandatory advantage you need to seek out. A good example of rewards that are good but not necessary are things the bat dungeon reward (bats no longer aggro you), or perhaps rewards similar to credo rewards (increase mining strength by 10-20%, etc. Ideally these rewards would be items so you could also sell/trade them.

It would also be cool to tie stuff like this more into seasons. In winter we always see a pretty big player drop as there's less to do, and it's a bit annoying. I'm sure the drop would be less if there was cool winter related content to seek out like a Yeti to hunt that gives a cool reward and poses a challenge for your group to take on. Of course another big benefit of this is getting players out of the village searching around and causing more player interaction.

salem has this exact mechanic and I never understood why haven doesn't have it either. it could be rare curios/gildings/clothing anything to flex really.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

I think most "exploration events" from Salem were neat (didn't play that much myself) but I heard this story:

1) Person settles a small homestead.
2) Starts gaining madness levels somehow (you gain madness level when hidden insanity meter fills up.)
3) Keeps going and struggling to remove them

Hanged dead corpse within render distance, but far enough that he didn't see it in-game, from the homestead. As long as devs won't add stuff like that, I'm 100% agreement with OP.
