Dynamite

Hard to craft and low yield craft, can be used on mine walls.
On explosion causes several collapses, and should be backed by multiple mine supports for safe use.
After explosion decreases mining strength required to mine affected tiles.

Basically a mechanic that will back mediocre players inability to mine in cave (e.g. you can't even scratch that rock for next 50 strength), which could totally lock their progress in mine for weeks sometimes.

Not that I'd know, but wouldn't this mean faster B12 for those pvpers? How would you implement this without enabling botters and large pvp factions? I've read many posts already arguing that getting to late game metal stuff needs to be... walled off... so to speak.

Would this really help the average spruce cap or would it be more of a help to those that really don't need it?

As far as I am aware, top villages does not suffer from that problem, they have enough time to level up strength before next mine level will be unlocked

Kind of a crutch when players should learn how to use the cooking system to fix this issue.

but in general they are only an top village because they arent shy to use and abuse every mechanic in the game to its utmost limits, even if that means having twiche as many bots as villagers mining and smelting chalco on lvl 3,
if they could half the required mining time /strenght, of the walls around they would just be able to feed twiche as many bots up to the requirement of the wall,

hard to produce is an issue that only spruces face anyway, top villages either just have the recources lying around, or they write an bot for it, like lye, pepper, steel from chalco, etc,
the people causing an need for such things to be so hard/tedius to make are almost always compleatly unaffected by it.
an hermit coulnt possibly produce as much pepper as he would need to pepper all the food he eats while harvesting pepper, and carrying water barrels,
meanwhile in top villages bumburn is the number 2 cause of death, right after hungercide.

As soon as iron is available, it is acquired.

This would be a QoL matter to clear impasses in cave walls. Quite nice. People poopsocking steel and iron or whatever early don't need it. They have a week to prospect and prepare and just... smelt. No biggie.

It's not that they don't need it, it's a question of how will they abuse it. Could it be abused by people that really don't need it? If yes, does the abuse have a negative impact on the game for the rest of the player base? Example: Early clearing of L1 and L2 mines in the area to prevent others from advancing and being forced to either move or make long hauls. OR Early PKing or other forms of griefing. If these don't, won't, or are unlikely to happen then it'd be a fun and cool idea. Otherwise, the preventative measures needed to stop the abuses from happening would make it improbably for hermits or other players to get to and use.

I mean... We could turn the idea around and make it a gatekeeper for steel... lmfao Steel requires Explosives pre-reqs Siege and Deep Artiface and requires brimstone. Then no one gets brimstone except the bots and we're back at square one. *shrug*

If only the cooking system were more intuitive and there wasn't only a handful of good recipes in a sea of literal shit recipes.

Idk, I would be happy to craft something that finally does not explode my ass but something else instead.
And this will hopefully not require using variable food mechanics, unless you want plume of laurel in your cave aftermath.
