Jorb won't fucking add black hair 9 years later. Imagine dying clothes.

Um, what? It was an option when I created my hearthling for W15 and I've seen others using it. I didn't check during W14.

The trouble with adding clothing dye is that cloth or clothing item type is currently identified by its colour. If the colour can be changed identification becomes more difficult, and the impact on gameplay could outweigh the cosmetic benefits. I would suggest adding sketches to clothing here but that's already been implemented for tabards and cloaks, so I can't think of much else except maybe a livery outfit.

Adding new clothing items that can be altered by any pigment wouldn't be a problem, though. Or it could apply only to wool clothing, which has a good base colour, is a late game item and doesn't have any special gameplay purpose.

I guess you're going to tell me 'that's not green, that's chartreuse!' next. Hopefully in the context of clothing dyes. These both look like black hair to me, albeit two different options for it.

I'm going to tell you that dark blue with a grey highlight isn't black and I'm going to do it over and over again.

I have this feeling looking at how materials are basically different models, dye channels would be surprisingly doable. We don't need to be so locked to colors, and we all know that the only thing that matters is how you look.
