I think every animal should have multiple genders:
Sex gender, identity gender, brain gender, at least these three. And colour of that cloud should would be linear combination of these genders, but then we have problem of attribution. Which colour goes into which end of spectrums? Maybe they should be randomised every world, but also they shouldn't ever be blue for males and pink for females. That's literally nazi proposition. Also identity gender should be continuous, and I think we should have homosexuality as a continuous variable too. That one should be inherited, modified by environment - ie being n-th children of your mother making higher homosexuality variable.
If we don't have that then doing any colour coding like you say is like advocating genocide.
