god I fucking hate animal nodes, just give them all a random quality on spawn already and completely remove those stupid dogshit nodes

I think just animals would be good.
Minerals being noded is not a bad thing. I prefer that than having to sort 40 stockpiles of ore bcs some are ql 30 and some are ql 400. And it feel rewarding to find a good quality vein (i think of them as veins rather than arbitrary nodes).
Like nodes you can find, go there, gather whatever you need and be done with it I think are fine. Nodes that you need to camp 24/7 using bots to take advantage of them are bs.

Back then the civilization metric was just distance from ring of brodgar, but otherwise you got it right.
Each ring had creatures 1 level higher than the last, I think stronger creatures like bears only spawned in the higher level rings or at least I remember going around the red area to find level 10 bears for the most LP gain at least

Buff early/mid game domestic and make it less cancer to upkeep. Make it so you can get domestic animal to 300q faster but then maybe softcap it after that point. It's ridiculous how much time it takes to make domestic animals high enough q to be even usable in industry. Most of the playerbase is gone when the world reaches that point.

I wouldn't even be too mad at this. I like doing fox/badger/wolf dungeons because of that randomness and getting 200+ badgers is fun
