I agree, devs should go back to the shield system (that had a lot of problems) and polish it, that made it so no matter how many walls (ie. visitors on every intersection and shit like that) you have/how big your village is (other than some stupid exploits that should get fixed) once your shield was down the siege was over, no stupid pushing siege engine for another 40 hours bcs village is too big after you already defended them for 24h (or in the case of that system like 72h+ i think) or people being able to build walls right after the siege starts and having them dry before the attacker is able to actually able to get to them.
For how bad the shield system was due to some exploits AND the time to siege being WAY too high, the idea behind it was actually pretty great. Once you get the shield down the siege is over, no buts, no bullshit.
