Crafters name on items

not sure if the idea came up already, but it just struck my mind.

why not mark crafted items with the name of its creator?
it sounds like a little change but the mindset behind it could change alot.
it could encourage some sort of "crafting-pvp". who makes the best swords etc..
"wow you got a smithy hammer of XYZ!? that mustve costed alot!"

maybe even leads to those crazy faction industry guys to sell out their insane ql tools, i mean it spreads their name!

Ragnarok Online used to do this. Cool idea in theory until it puts a target on your back to be raided.

Example Scenario:
Gargamel gets knocked out after buying what they didn't know was one of w15s highest quality Boar Spears from a neighbor
The crafters name on the item is Maramasa
The attacker turns out to be part of Snails crew
Snails crew finds where Maramasa lives and raids cuz Anvil Upgrade

I like the idea, but the example above is why I think it's not a good idea in this game.

This - if you're confident your base is secure enough against raiders and such, sure, put your name on the item you crafted. Could even probably just reuse the livestock brand mechanic for it.

Some artisan credo for people keep on mass produce high quality items name or brand mark could be good.

Just making some shit for your daily needs with your name everywhere is kinda cringe.
