Not only are they easier to implement than all these other ideas in the thread they also will have the greatest impact.
Jorb specifically asked for these types of ideas on stream.

Whateverbay's and Snail-empire's forum brigade crews should work together and signal boost this genius level idea.

oh god yes, imagine the funny names and messages that are going to be in global chat :)))))))

Maybe some sort of community structure between village and kingdom that has it's own chat window so you get something like global chat but with the structure owners being able to remove characters from it as a form of chat moderation.
Interacting with people in your area is a huge part of the game, so some way of formalizing a neighbourhood of sorts even if just as a shared chat window would be great. You could even have it so you can be a member of as many as you want so you could for example join your local area's one and one for a large market village. This already happens using tools outside the game but having it be a part of the game itself would make it feel more alive
