Swamp critters and Spring

Dragonfly, Frog, and Toad do not spawn in swamps during spring (not even after they completely unfreeze.)

This would be fine or at least acceptable seasonality, but if you try to do Forager Credo during spring, you can roll a quest to catch any of the three aforementioned critters.

To add insult to injury, "frogspawn" exists during spring. Does Hearthland's lesser fauna originate from "spontaneous generation" (yea its a game with spawning mobs, but even in terms of lore)?
