Since grevious damage is based on the weapon, Bob Dole would like a training weapon which he can specifically use to aggro then ko his own villagers when he see's them, but without seriously wounding them. Preferably, he can ko them without causing grevious dmg or a concussion, only their soft hp.

He would like them to be forced to learn combat running against their will. It's for their own good. It would also open the door to all sorts of opportunities that didn't exist before. Kinder raiders or people trying to send a message would have a method to ko their victims, without accidentally killing them, and who knows what else. Maybe two feuding villagers who aren't at the point of willing to outright murder, can use this as a step before complete warfare.

Or, what if two people are fighting over a salt node or some other resource, but don't wanna start a big conflict.

Bob Dole has some good ideas for the weapon names:
The Paddler
Wooden club of tough love
or his personal favourite: The Paddler, again

He really likes the paddler, but he's open to other suggestions.

Another idea could be some kind of toggle like criminal acts, that when activated, prevents u from causing HHP dmg or concussions to your target.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

HnH is terribly understaffed indeed. We need our shillelaghs for proper bataireacht, aka settling disputes in a gentlemanly manner.

Extra damage to Pinnipeds would be welcomed but not required.

We have that, it's called throwing weapons and unarmed combat. The perfect villager training tools. See someone eating at your table and not even fixing the symbel once it goes into his inventory? Kick. See someone looking through your cuboards? Throw axe/spear.

live sparring is the only way to actually teach them

they won't lock in because there is no consequence to failing or not caring

also you want them to be used to the feeling of their character being on the line

The fact Ryan knows I will 100% kill him if he lets me during involuntary practice helped him improve faster
