Sausages need to be boiled, spit-roasted, grilled, fast-boiled, long-boiled, pickled, hang-dried on racks, pan-cooked in various oils, baked in ovens in addition to smoking. "Some" could be eaten raw, but not all. Add "Mett/Surowka" as fan-service for Germans/Polish.

I do feel like there should be a recipe that takes a variable sausage input, with variable pickle input, and bread.

Matter of fact, loftar said they're reworking the fep system, so we'll see.

But that would be the way to make BS great - first you make them, then boil them, then roast them, then grill them - and you get a dope sausage. The whole process could be multi-stage, like cheeses.

Oh boy do i love multistep process that takes more time than what we have now for absolutely no reason and all it takes (for each step) is clicking one button and waiting until my whole inventory is processed. Smoking adds some variety to it, having to boil each sausage before you can use it would not.

I find prohibitively long processes enjoying, yet I deny I have autism , still, long-boiling (inside cauldron that is), baking, rack-drying, grilling (on a grilling grill) would definitely add variety on the level smoking does. I'm generally against instant recipes, i.e. sausages that are edible right away, and vote for multistep cooking of literally everything. Fillers should take even longer (like pickled stuff).

That said, FEP system should be redesigned too, but I have no idea how.
