PvP zones

H&H has PvP but there is usually no reason to fight other players. Meteorites (and Localized Resources) don't happen often enough and those are for large groups of veterans only.
New players will be very interested in PvP but they would have no clue where to find it. There are no arena modes to queue up for and 99% of the playerbase avoids PvP because there too many systems criminalizing it. (permadeath, losing progress, scents, being unable to see how strong a player is)

-Add random PvP hotspots on the map. Treasure chests or random high-quality resources.
-Add a way to inspect players from a distance so players can avoid unfair fights.
-Make it more difficult to murder players

Nobody keeps track of their cooldowns and the rewards are often not worth fighting over. They also take way too much time to refill.

Imagine a quest giver notification that tells you and other players in the area about a highQ tree that is going to spawn in one hour. You get a quest, a timer and an arrow pointing to its location. Way more fun.

It's just an example. Maybe those trees don't give seeds. If the reward is an animal, it can't reproduce etc.

Fun and driving players out of your region is the reward for PVPing. Ganking people is exhilarating and made even better when they whine on the forums or Discord.

Players coming from games like Rust or Ark usually have no problem figuring out how PVP works in Haven. 99% of the time it's just ganking people that aren't expecting it, which is fine IMO. That's what Haven is. The only barrier to entry is rage. Kuskas/waterskins for chasing and boat for finding victims helps too.

For fair PVP, Valhalla already exists.

It's already extremely difficult to murder someone.

Finding players that want to fight is my problem. PvP is a mayor selling point yet the average player will never participate in it. You come across one player per week and 90% of the time they auto-hearth back to safety. Amazing MMO gameplay. I'm so glad having spend months building my character.

If you start playing at 4th month of server and live at the corner of the map. Try to play game from the server start and you will dare to less ppl on your screen.
