Tokens are unapologetically RMT and the reason why blueberry economy™ is only a memory of better times.


I think that both in the interest of increasing security during the new world filled with new Steam players, and in the interest of incentivizing less lazy RMT-type play, that we should not allow tokens to be put on barter stands anymore.


Tokens should only be tradable the same way that hats are, where you must right-click on another person and manually transfer the ownership of them.

This makes trading and owning them safer, and adds a layer of "you need to actually do the bare minimum of effort" to use them to your advantage. Being able to passively trade them in a barter stand and let your money play for you is just icky.

I generally think that they should be allowed to be sold through the steam store to all players

how are these thoughts even connected?

My idea would make it even safer to be held at gunpoint because if you got KO'd while holding a token it couldn't be stolen

+1 another banger, as is in game as well, if you are doing a trade involving tokens you might fall into the trap of dragging them across the overworld only to be bonked for your very real currency.
