Can we just add some feature that lets everyone spawn in a cluster already? Haven's biggest weakness is getting players over the early game hump and UI issues. One less thing in their way is always something we should look into.

If we let a bunch of nabs randomly spawn at a location together it'll help onboarding new players. It'll have 0 effect on experienced players who are most likely spawning alts to scout locations at world start. It can't be used for botting if the location is random just like a normal spawn. Add a second skull to the starter room and a popup when burning in your first character of an account (for that world) explaining how to do it in simple english. Lore descriptions are fun, but this is a mechanic that needs to be blunt for all the beginners just clicking stuff off to get playing.

Reducing the material cost would probably alleviate most concerns raised in this thread. Imho the most simple and effective solution.

If the material cost were to simply be halved:

Someone mentioned Carpentry, and while it's trivial to unlock for an experienced player, and reasonable expectation for a new player, maybe removing Boards entirely instead would be a better solution? After all, you do need a bone for a bonesaw. And it has an awful ratio of boards per log.

I also wouldn't complain if the Boards were removed, and the remaining materials still got halved.

I'm not totally against store item of a small spawn chartersone with few days to a week lifespan


While it won't change currents for small parties and hermits, large parties will save hours on worlds start, I remember how annoying it was to spawn 20-30 people groups.

Tempted to agree that we could be in a better spot with this. Not :100:-:100: on the solution, tho. Putting a whole party in the same CC room seems bad, and ideally they shouldn't really have to spawn in at the exact same moment tbqh. Would love to support this on a per-hearthling basis and with some allowance for different starting times.

Add unique ip check to it and I don't see a problem.
I would still just build beacons to spawn my alts since its so easy rather than using vpn.

My take, imho: Wilderness beacons become a re-usable mini charter of sorts that lets up to 4 people spawn near it before it explodes (adjacent tiles), and lasts the same duration.
Then, add some sort of hearth magic that allows you to sing some sort of luring song to an unlit fireplace (aka, give it a password) that replaces base beacon functionality - that is, one person spawns at it and it becomes their hearthfire.

That, and put the place where you input a secret before you burn in a fire, not after - with some sort of obvious indicator that this is where you may speak to in order to be with your friends, or you can venture alone into the wilderness.
