Allow travel to hearth fire regardless of aggro

Allow travel to hearth fire regardless of aggro

Postby noindyfikator » Thu Nov 07, 2024 1:36 pm

Aggro from another player (keep in mind animal attack will still stop your travel) shouldn't stop or interrupt teleportation to heart fire.

Why? If someone don't want to PvP, don't force him to do. A lot of sprucecaps prefer to PvE not PvP. Leave PvP for thingwall fights, meteorites - if you teleport to hf you lose objective so it won't be abused.

I think this is my the best idea ever.

You'd need to add some restrictions imo like :
-no scents active on your ass
-no offensive action against another player done since x minutes.

looks like a good idea to me

I think simple check will work there

  • Allow travel back if character is not outlawed

Also it will make outlaw more serious, right now it's useless debuff

+1 to no hearthing while you have outlaw,

-1 to making the game PvE. PvE is too easy for it to be the only danger. Without PvP there is 0 chance anything ever hurts you. I am generally in favor of solutions that benefit sprucecaps but we can't just eliminate the possibility of any danger at all or people will quit because it will become an industry grinding game rather than a hardcore survival one.

Yeah, -1, seems incredibly stupid and disingenuous for you to suggest this.

sure, as long as it takes 30 seconds to hearth.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy
