Disassemble action

Suggestion: Disassemble Action

The idea is to add a "Disassemble" option alongside "Destroy," allowing players to carefully take items or structures apart to recover materials. This would bring a more strategic layer to the game, with a chance-based material recovery that adds realism. Here's how it could work:

  1. Disassemble Action: This option would be an alternative to "Destroy." Selecting "Disassemble" would start a longer timer than "Destroy," indicating the more careful dismantling process.
  2. Attribute-Based Success: The success of disassembly could be influenced by specific attributes, like Dexterity or Perception. Higher levels in these attributes would increase the likelihood of recovering materials.
  3. Material-Based Recovery Chance:
    • Percentage Chance per Material: Each material would have a base recovery chance depending on its durability and properties. Softer materials like wood or rope would have a high recovery rate, while fragile materials like glass would have a near-zero recovery rate.
    • Quality Variance: Higher-quality materials could slightly increase recovery chances, making quality production valuable even if players plan to reclaim materials later.
  4. Tool Modifiers: Using higher-quality or specialized tools could increase the recovery rate or decrease the time required to disassemble items.
  5. Disassembly-Specific Skills or Abilities: This could tie in with crafting and survival skills, introducing a potential "salvager" role. Players could develop expertise in resource recovery, allowing for more efficient reclaiming of materials.

Would this help balance the current resource scarcity and risk? It could give players more choices without reducing survival difficulty if implemented thoughtfully.
