Make Winter Great Gain

Postby Giona » Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:59 am

  • Piles of wood scattered around with variable quality;
  • Animals of varying size as with trees, bigger equals stronger and better quality, easier to identify in winter and more abundant;
  • Perhaps some kind of wood seasoning during the winter?
  • Help me out ...;
  • Extend the duration of winter.

SEASONING AND ROTTING OF WOOD

Image

  • Build the woodshed;
  • During the winter wood may increase slightly in quality in the woodshed;
  • If wood is left outside the woodshed in the snow, it can rot, a slight decrease in quality.

Also a new item for winter, wooden thermometer (can help to understand the change of seasons):

just make winter longer again, so that rivers actually freeze over for more than 24 hours irl. and we can go sledgehunting, untill we realize there are no bears, and thats all that my miners want to eat, who are responsible for 99% of the foodupkeep of the village.

+1 to making winter longer...

I get that big factions didn't like the time away from the grind but they overnrrfed it and now it barely lasts. Would like to enjoy for more than a day before its gone.

Addendum: fix credos in the winter. Tired of getting spring quests for foragesbles.

Theres an outspoken group who wants longer winters, but the population usually tanks every world after the first winter.

What exactly winter has to do with author's desperate need in better quality wood?
In any case until it comes people will have 4-5 more replantings of trees, making them far more than any adequate natural quality.

Seasons should change every week without impacting gameplay too much.
There should be cool stuff to look forward to but it should never take content away from players. There is no reason to make this realistic because HnH isn't a survival simulator.
More needs to happen during Spring and Fall.
