Miners are living their blissfull lives down in a hole, far away from the plague of midges, that pester any other hearthling,
bats in contrast to midges, are easily defeated, and quiver at the thought of a miners massive biceps .

there should be swarms , of tiny bats, that cant be damaged, and leave batbite wounds, draining your strenght, and slowly growing, when exposed to direct sunlight, to force the underground dwellers. far from gods light.
