Imagine 50kg of red hot coal, burning at about 1000°C (or 1800°F), warming an iron structure - aka the brazier - to about the same temperature.
And you think that dropping some water on that will help you move it around?

Water would literally explode into steam on contact with the coal, and burn everyone around.

but I think throwing water at it could represent my intentions better
