My bad my bad. I definitely mean tartare, but Pate would be fun too.

Okay, my bad, I've never personally had a parasite before (luckily) so I suppose it's good to know for future reference, to wash my hands after picking up random stuff from the woods.
But ultimately, you still have to ingest the parasite or eggs, no?

I suppose, not everything should be realistic. That's terrifying.
So then now I guess my suggestion is to just add a new category of foods, like "raw meat" that has a new, rare wound when consumed. Maybe even just rarely random wounds that heal by themselves, like Chills and Nausea or Rot gut. Just plain raw meat wouldn't give very good FEP but Prepared foods like tartare provide good FEP that's worth it for the risk. You could potentially make tartare out of any meat- poultry, fish, etc. included. It would be like mid-game version of roasted meat, cooked on a meatgrinder instead of a campfire. You would just need things like lemon or vinegar, onions, etc.
Although I guess if we're trying to be realistic I think the acid from the lemon or vinegar helps neutralize any kind of parasite, so maybe tartare would have a significantly smaller chance of causing issues compared to eating regular raw meat.
I'm not saying to punish players for gaining stats, it's purely just for fun.
