Hence why I said only in combat. I'd be interested in loftar throwing up a test server or something for more combat changes. It would be nice to have some sort of layer of skill on chasing/adrenaline fueled combat moments besides grabbing speed buffs and getting away. It could also help split up the larger fights a bit.

Go play salem for 3 seconds, *and imagine you are in combat*, so you can remember how dogshit getting stuck by slightly touching anything was.

You can still use trees/boulders/stumps/anything to clip people.

When oco will come out, we will be able to jump over tree stumps, climb trees and jump off the tree while cleaving someone mid air n shit, that will increase the skill ceiling

I played Salem when they had a fresh server* and while the lack of pushout wasn't as bad as I remembered, it definitely wasn't great.

(*they actually had some good ideas and implementations, but ended up falling pretty flat due to working with old engine/legacy code and some core mechanics, like the Stocks, still being problematic even with heavy nerfs.)

Tbf, it sucks in salem bcs it's always on and there isn't even a way to access multiple containers and other QoL hafen has, in combat it's actually kinda cool because it makes getting someone stuck/blocking someones way a lot more reliable, then again, the whole combat system in salem seems a lot cooler to me.
