greatly reduce mould drying time

  • It makes it less hype to make an anvil knowing you're gonna go to sleep, wake up, go to work, get home, turn on the PC and still it will be drying for 2 hours before you can use it
  • It means you have to get up at 2am when you unlock your minehole unlocks to IMMEDIATELY mine/make the anvil mould then go back to bed if you're a PVPboi because otherwise you just don't get to play during the period other ppl have an anvil and you don't
  • The intent (I think) is to slow down spiraling, but people basically never get enough ore to do 1 spiral per day so it doesn't do anything there
  • Items that require moulds are basically never sold now because 2much effort
  • It's just kindof annoying an tedious with no upside
  • If you sell an anvil it's often for tokens (the thing you make money off), and micro transactions are always impulse purchases. I would not be surprised if people knowing they gotta wait 24h for their shit to dry has lead to you getting less money
  • This probably sounds dumb and niche but I think it's actually important: if you KO a retard and steal his frying pan/hammer they actually can't play the game for 24 hours which is a big kick while they're down for no reason that probably directly leads to some people giving up
  • There is no upside for the drying time being this long pls jorbtar

IMO the upper limit on what's forgivable is an hour to dry, and everything else 10 minutes. I think normal items being 1 minute and anvil being 5 minutes would be the sweet spot tho

This could have been a 1 sentence OP.
They will never read so many lines.
I don't think anyone who has made anvils, hammers and pans will disagree with the idea.

There clearly was an intention to reintroduce spiraling and gate it by molds, but it made it so that high quality anvil can only be crafted now by only 5% of villages, and bone/coade clay is so much sweaty that they wouldn't bother to craft them for the rest of playerbase if not for tokens/hats.

Needless to say spiraling was not reintroduced, and all your crit gains are wiped away with mold quality affecting anvil and hammer.
