Permissions are they are right now are complete trash and it's all or nothing. You can't give players access to animals without also giving them permission to murder you and destroy your buildings. Even go so far as destroy all your Hearth fires

All permissions need to be toggled separately. Animal care, destruction, murder, etc. You modified terrain editing which didn't even need the change, while this is in dire need of change

It's can be rugulated with zones at the village, by using cairns(or how they called). Not the best tool, but still works.

Sure, you can do some work around bs to deal with some of the cases, others you simply can't. Perfect example is allowing use of cauldrons, simply can't be done, either you let them take the cauldron or they can't remove things from inside it.
Trespassing is required to open any container, but also also allows lifting them. I think you can still use it to steal things by dropping items outside of the claim area.
OP is right permission system in haven is trash.

before v gates man every shitbox had to be held down like fort knox

Also in Legacy, there was no separation of keys into master/slave AND you couldn't change the locks (because locks as we know them now didn't exist, you just gained a key when you finished building a gate.) This meant that groups basically had to use a shared key alt until they could upgrade to a pair of "Crossroads" that allowed unrestricted teleportation over the wall, aside from gaining Travel Weariness.

World 8 quickly demonstrated that the new system of "in order to give people ability to exit the base, you need to also give them ability to let in unlimited amount of people" was unsustainable. There was a high-profile raid where an insider opened a gate for the attackers. Jorb added Visitor (de)Buff in response.

Not sure if this would cause system bloat, but some form of system to show who committed which actions where can at least help village managers figure out who stole the public cauldron or some shit like that.

I don't disagree with the need for an overhaul, but personally it's very low on the list of impactful things that need overhaul.

I mean, in most villages this isn't really an issue (especially with field cairns allowing separate permission zones)
