Remove death!

Just remove death!

You can go down to 1 hhp and be a useless piece of shit with a ton of wounds that debuff you.
Also make it so you can keep stacking wounds on 1 hhp players.
Reduce their movement speed to crawl if they have wounds that would take them below 1hhp.
On knock out 1hhp characters should only get the option to hearth home.
1 hhp characters should also lose the ability to do crime.

Engaging with wound healing mechanic is already far more punishing than any other mmo death penalty.
Obviously do this in a short world because some players will start malding otherwise.

Sounds like something worth trying out.

It is not as silly as it might seem.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

Also, introduce a wound that debuffs LP and FEP gain, so that wounded characters can't just chill and continue growing. And that wound should be the last to heal.

As an alternative, you can choose to "Die honourably, preserving current mechanics of inheritance". Refusing to do so will block future inheritance. May also be restricted to `would-be-deaths` caused by other players and not by environment.
I hate you! Yes, you!
How does it matter when you die? Today? In hundred years? What will be left of you after millennia?

Awful.
I can already hermits being completely fucked, unable to heal their stacked wounds, stuck on crawl speed. At that point it's just better to die.

Meanwhile PvPers still do their usual thing. Run around and pretend they won a fight cause the other side gave up chasing.

I agree they should call it ättestupa. Maybe you have to travel to your nearest mountain for a specific cliff that will give you the option for it.

Overall, the idea is good, but it needs to be carefully thought out and thought through.

Anythings better than the current system of terrorists going out of their way to murder everyone to the point there's no one left but them
