Gnomes and Gobs

This game needs little ethereal creatures that live in the Ether realm and are most typically invisible to the naked eye, but will play ruses on the finders, such as..

- Cave gnomes to haunt bystanders by making peculiar noises that may startle and take possession of nearby hearthlings feet to dance and potentially horses similar to the effects of "Raw Hide!"
- Forest gnomes found in certain tree stumps to give hearthling tips that may turn out to be either true or fatal, as well as directions to locations of some supposed treasure to find or dig out, which may or may not turn out to be a curse or an actual treasure
- Leprechauns in the seas, who upon receiving a gift of either Clover or Four Leaf Clover and will, upon receiving the former, make the area of the seas surrounding the leprechaun reveal 1-5 tiny chests sitting on tiny rainbows/clouds.
The area surrounding the leprechaun will, in a radius similar to a beehive, reveal a temporary rainbow that will entrap the hearthling into an arena that the hearthling may not warp out of and is forced to traverse to open every tiny chest inside of the arena area to be able to leave only once all items inside of every chest have been removed. The tiny chests may:

1. contain ethereal ruse items that will be invisible or at least translucent to the naked eye similar to the gnomes themselves and may be used to ruse other hearthlings with, in particular items such as jack-in-the-box that can be placed and will briefly startle someone unsuspecting walking into its tiny radius, hallucination powder that may apply visual effects or itching powder that may be applied as consumable onto any item that, upon its first usage after application, startle a hearthling or even inflict some minor wound.
2. spawn random numbers of any kind of sea creatures hostile to the seafarer at the Leprechaun
3. yield rainbow related items that may or may not inflict wounds upon the one removing the item
4. very rarely contain resources that are otherwise exhaustible in nature, such as star shards

Upon receiving a Four Leaf Clover, the leprechaun may recite a pamphlet about how magnanimous jorb and loftar are before leaving behind a single chest that contains one of the items required to see ethereal beings and objects.

Ideally anything of the ethereal plane be invisible to the naked eye unless sizeable amounts of per*exp and some eyes of truth, a dharmic eye or horus eye are worn to interact with said parallel metaphysical world. More simplified, spectacles or monocles could serve this purpose. If an ethereal gnome is revealed and thus made visible to the heartling, the gnome in question will upon being found out change its behavior and for example plead to be left alone and tell the hearthling it was all just a joke when they were up to no good in the case of a forest gnome, or run away from the hearthlings without possession attempts in the case of the cave gnome. The leprechaun may in turn reveal which chests are harmless, dangerous and particularly dangerous.

That is all. Thank you for reading.
