Prevent resource blocking by players.

I started playing this game recently, but have already encountered an issue several times: players block access to certain resources by walling them off and privatizing the area. For example, the passage to the lower level of the cave is blocked. Perhaps building around such key objects should be prohibited?

That hole is something they built, they are protecting their property.

Interesting idea though, to have natural type of minehole down. Would have to have some mechanic that blocks it off until time gate relaxes

Sinkholes.
Every time a new level is opened, the ground shakes and some sinkholes appear (on unclaimed land), allowing natural access to lower levels. Would be pretty cool.



Btw this example is bad (because that's a man made minehole), but he has a point. People still build palisades around local resources.

Yeah, i saw someone blocked some kind of big pink crystal at montains. But i dont know if thats a resourse or just something they did too. I saw it on the minimap but it was behind gates so i couldnt see what it was clearly.

Boreworm dungeons should spawn these on completion and they should decay but be repairable with tarsticks or towercap boards

That's a Rock Crystal, a localized resource very valuable in the beginning, since it's required both to build Charter Stones (to teleport to) and the mineholes to some of the the lowest levels.

Palisading those is a dick move. You can't claim it, so the palisade will decay, but it's also very easy to just put an alt there to repair it.
