Make Knarr Dock Resettable

Issue: There is currently no way to remove ships that have their home dock set at a Knarr Dock.

Problem: If a ship with its home dock at a Knarr Dock is stolen, the thief can easily use "Travel to Home Dock" to reach that dock.

Current Workarounds: Players must either keep the ship docked and unused, or destroy it with a Wrecking Ball.

Suggestion: Add an option to reset or remove a ship’s home dock from a Knarr Dock to prevent unauthorized access.

I used this "feature" in world 15, that being teleporting back to docks.
I would leave my boat docked onto allys bases so they could instantly teleport over to my town dock, useful for instantly sending and trading items over. Then use a bot (nurglings) to travel the boat back home.
We had a fleet of 60 snekkja and I think used it a total of 10 or 9 times~ thankfully mightysheep smashed most of the boats :lol:

Use this information how you'd like.

I wouldn't say it's a particularly big issue personally it's hard to imagine how I'd even really abuse this

+1. Good suggestion with easy fix, and no reason not to fix it. Odd for someone to suggest not fixing it unless they had nefarious goals.

P.S. Preferably leave this in though, since it's neat:

I do have nefarious goals and I have stolen many snekks but what is even the play? Its just a teleport. Most of the time people just rebuild their snek then the dock is blocked

An obvious solution would be to have the dock lockable. If you lose the key, you can't teleport until you change the lock, duh. So, nefarious goals have some leeway to be applied, but 1 wood block for a new lock is way less materials than two snekkas to block the dock. And it rhymes so it's legit.

(pursuing my nefarious long play to have the community up in arms whining about adding new extra large keyring that uses steel and precious metals).

There basically already is a key its called claim permissions. You cant set home dock if you not on the claim. They would just need to make it so that you cant port to dock if you not on the claim and it solves the so-called "issue"

If your dock is on shallow water, you can block the Dock with anything liftable. If it's on Deep Water, you can place dugouts.

I'm saying this as someone who once made more-or-less every wrong call possible, had my ship stolen, and several people teleported on our dock with it.

However, as soon as that ship is used again, the dock becomes open.

Yes, my point is that there’s currently no way to prevent unintended access.
If there’s any way to block it somehow, I’m perfectly fine with that.

Not that I care, but the simplest solution would: make it so you can't teleport into a claim that you don't have trespassing on.

this would effects charterstones + wagon docks too so either J&L would have to exclude, or tell people to build field cairns.
