Ever since it was advocated by the devs themselves that alts usage should remain on the lower end instead of being maximized, I kept wondering about the credo system.
As it stands now, if you intend to finish all credos on a single character, you may actually run out of time before the end of the world. That is because the current system takes into account the amount of all previously finished credos, and modifies the amount of quests per level accordingly.
What if the system instead took into account only the prerequisite credos? You'd end up with far fewer quests per level, also making the usage of alts far less prevalent. Why should a player suffer from having to do all those, often difficult, credo quests, when they can instead make an alt for this particular reason and make it a breeze?
Perhaps this solution would require some balancing, but in the end it would favour people who don't use alts that often. Mostly nothing would change for people already using alts.
Another take on this matter - people who do use alts are often people who have far more time to play the game. It's second nature to them.
Why not make credos a little bit more accessible to the average casual player?
