While the addition of bum burn has advanced the leisure activity of feasting for all of us, getting stats is just too easy. Thus I propose the following:
In order to be able to feast, it shouldn't be enough to just lay the symbel down on the table.
1. For each piece of food one wants to feast, one should have to click the feast button anew.
2. Whenever the button is pressed, the character will attempt to pick up the fork, which he may or may not be too belligerent to do. If the attempt fails, the character ends up with a single wound point that heals by itself.
3. On occassion, whenever the fork is actually used to eat any food, there ought to be a small chance for the fork to end up in the hearthlings eye, inflicting a severe wound and giving an exp event about the hearthling becoming in Odin's image.
4. Whenever a hearthling wants to leave the table, they ought to have a chance to tumble over and break their neck, with the chance getting higher for each food that they ate at the table before leaving it.
Why is this a good addition? The content of each world is explored very fast and the post-grind phase settles in way too soon. By turning feasting into a battle for your life, you make it more than just a grind, you make it a thrilling gameplay experience in and of itself. People will be hot for a round of Russian feasting roulette in Hafen.
That is all.
