W16.1 Battering Ram and Base Design

Postby wildair » Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:04 pm

I had just spent hundreds of LP and made my character more vulnerable to attacks by getting Rage, just so I can get the battering ram so I can more easily demolish old structures within my base for new layouts, only to find there is a Thingpeace mechanic which prevents me from building a ram. This is extremely inconvenient and I feel like I just ruined my character for literally no reason.

In before someone call me a noob for not knowing this, I have never sieged before, and just wanted a way to destroy old structures other than the wrecking ball because it takes a day to dry. The Thingpeace mechanic is also not mentioned on the (https://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Battering_Ram)

I feel so disappointed. I have put hundreds of hrs into my current character only to ruin it for no good reason. I really wish there was a better way to demolish old structures. Maybe a version of the battering ram that does not challenge the providence.

"I can put hundreds of hours into a character but I can't wait for wrecking ball to dry (what is considered a rather small amount of time by the majority of the player base)"
You are so out of touch with the game, you might as well apply for a developer position.

W7 - giga noob hermit, part 2
W12 - hermit

All the previous commenters stole the words right from the tip of my tongue.

It is now.

Wreckingball: For plot restructuring/cleanup, build/use more than one. Like 7 (cart + horse). +inspect wreckingball gallery images.
