Land Survey - Global height

I think many people face the problem that to level the terrain, you have to overlap zones to maintain a consistent height level. Maybe it would be worth adding the ability to see the selected global ground height level? I think that would make things a lot easier for many players.
(The height level would match anywhere, no matter where you started leveling)

Also, it would be super cool to bring back the height level slider — trying to aim at points on a 4K monitor is an absolute pain.

Regarding the altitude, it would really help with terraforming, but the question is how relevant it is to the game - do the developers want us to feel like medieval builders without modern tools, where everything is done by eye or is it acceptable?

The same goes for the slider. Although it will need to be significantly reworked to be useful in the new terraforming.

Food for thought: A slider "needs" a Start and End value. (& some step value too ofc)
(+ As far as I know there is currently no limit to how high or low you can move the survey.)

Better:
- Added ability to adjust active survey height with keys.
- Step size could be controlled by some control key (1x vs 10x). Or some setting in survey UI.

It's definitely a good idea - would help you create larger bases by providing you the necessary info about dirt amounts without actually terraforming first. It would make planning a lot easier, because you would not have to search for a common height level anymore to measure the dirt delta.

It's possible to use a ground elevation gauge against your chosen terrain; careful consideration is needed if you want to maintain this elevation.
