Yes, you have to explore the area first for it to become visible in the distance. Kinda like Minecraft, also incentivated me to explore little holes I was missing in my map.

About the hardware requirements I don’t see any performance issues at all. In fact, it feels smoother than other clients.

I guess it’s because it’s based on the default client. I don’t know exactly what it is, but even with all this distance rendered and almost everything set to max, it runs pretty well.

This is honestly the client to use now.
If you wanted to make a feature for a client and thought about forking a client to make such a feature, the brodgar client is useful for just that, you make an addon for the client make it public and its good as that.
A number of us client makers just need to move over to brodgar to start making brodgar client the client to use.
Even messing around with AI to make an addon works.

I've started with my basic client feature of Moveable UI and expandable heathbar (I like a big stamina bar and health bar)

Yes, for sure. But you also need to port all the resources with code layers and keep those maintained. Can be automated.
But at this point, why don't create your own game?

I'm slowly getting features out from my client over to this client

Night Vision
Sets the time of day to noon. I'm going to likely change this once the API for brightness is added so that we can make night just more dim.

Make it Flat and Small
Adds Flat terrain, adjustable tree size and resizes the cupboard depth (make them smaller) + adding decal to the top of the cupboard.

Decals and barrel info
Adds the name of Decals overhead of the decal and barrels. The setting allows you to set the depth and size of the text.
Image

Quest UI
Adds a moveable quest UI with 3 buttons that opens directly to the quest tab, custom creedo tab and a smaller button that directly opens your current creedo quest
the custom creedo tab tells you all the other creedos and has their requirements listed

Moveable UI
Make Most (if not all) UI moveable and hideable. Also gives you the ability tro resize the heath, stamnia and energy bar. you can turn on a grid to help you size and place the UI to more your likling.
I need to make the Combat UI draw itself while out of combat but currently thats a plan for the future.
